Route 66 Gold Miners are looking for YOU. Our club is the Orange County/Brea Chapter of the GPAA located in Southern California USA. We are proud of our new club founded in early 2003 and has since grown into one of the best prospecting clubs around. Active members give tips and tricks on prospecting or other interesting and related subjects at every meeting. We also strive to have a Gold nugget drawing at every meeting along with other great prizes. We are a non profit educational organization and all proceeds go directly into our educational endeavors.
Our club "ROUTE 66 GOLD MINERS" is a great place to meet with other like minded people who are interested in the quest for gold and treasure. With lively meetings, prospecting outings and metal detecting treasure hunts. You are sure to find an interest to follow and meet great people on the way. This club has many new faces coming in all the time. Family oriented, with caring people and lots of camaraderie.
Want to find GOLD. Here is the place. With an active Outing Coordinator we can take you to places of interest with great field trips and exploring. Plenty of day trips so you may always have someone to explore or prospect with.
Route 66 Gold Miners or RT66GM Chapter takes an active role with many of the local rock & gem clubs in the area by presenting an opportunity to teach children and adults how to prospect and pan for gold. We hold metal detecting hunts called "Treasure Fest" at local beaches a few times each year to allow you to polish up on your technique and maybe will teach you something new in the art of metal detecting. Someone is always happy to show you how to: Pan for Gold, sluice, dredge, metal detect, read a river or desert landscape and most of all just let you help shovel into their bucket!!
